JASON LAPORTE

Jason began working at Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in July of 2009 for his internship and field experience coursework. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Bridgewater State University. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is certified as a Cancer Exercise Specialist and a TRX Team Coach. Jason now works in our $60 for 60 Days Program, where he enjoys empowering people to make positive lifestyle changes while educating them about the many benefits of exercise. He also teaches a variety of classes on our Group Fitness schedule.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys weightlifting, trail running, and obstacle course races. He has participated in multiple Tough Mudders and completed multiple Spartan Race Trifectas. Jason has also trained for and competed in an NPC men’s physique contest. Jason has experience providing strength and conditioning programs to athletes, but is also experienced in assisting those with various pre-existing medical considerations and injuries. So, whether you’re training for a triathlon, a fitness competition, or you’re brand new to exercise and simply looking to improve your level of function and fitness, Jason is more than happy to help design the program that is safest and most effective for you.

DODI HERK

Dodi began working at Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in February of 1998. She started as a front desk liaison, worked as a full-time Exercise Physiologist, and is now an Assistant Director of Fitness and a Group Fitness Director. Dodi also helped establish and now manages our popular $60 for 60 Days Program, which has helped thousands of people affect positive lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellness.

Dodi obtained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Bridgewater State University in 1998. She is certified as a TRX Team Coach, Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor, and is also certified by the United States Water Fitness Association. Dodi has over twenty years of experience working with special populations and excels at prescribing safe and effective exercise for those individuals with various metabolic, cardiac, and orthopedic considerations. Dodi is also a former college athlete and coach who loves to prescribe strength and conditioning programs for those with similar athletic experiences and/or aspirations.

In her spare time, Dodi loves competition. She still plays recreational sports whenever she gets the opportunity and has also completed several local road races. Dodi also loves to exercise, whether it’s lifting weights in the fitness center, or simply taking her dogs for a walk – she is the biggest animal lover we know! Dodi is always smiling, quick with a joke, and happy to help.
